MRS. AMERICA – MRS. USSR
On December 4, 1990, the first Soviet-American beauty pageant was held in Moscow on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater.

Fifty pageant winners from each state of America and 21 Soviet finalists, who passed the three qualifying rounds - took part in a joint television show. The jury awarded the titles of Miss America and Miss USSR to two girls from each country -Jill Scott of Arizona and Natalia Aleksanyan of Moscow. They won the right to represent their countries in the Miss World Pageant of 1991.
